Transmission Cooling Lines???
I was told that I could use rubber hydralic hoses to replace the old metal hoses that have been bent and twisted.
Also, If so would bigger hoses be better to run?
AND, If one was to add another cooler what would be the best place? How do I run the lines???
EX.:
1. From tranny > new extra Cooler > Original Cooler > Tranny?
2. From tranny > Original Cooler > New Extra Cooler > Tranny??
Steel tubing can be bent with use of a tubing bender (looks like a handle with a 3-4 groove wheel on the end and an arm. Bend as necessary to clear with as wide a berth as possible all heat sources(exhaust pipes, cats, etc.)
You can use hydraulic hose from the factory cooler to the aftermarket cooler. DOUBLE CLAMP all connections if you do this. otherwise use steel tubing.
Close quarters thru the radiator support wall (fascia??) split a section of heater hose and layer it over the hydraulic line (this will allow the heater hose to take the vibration chaffing instead of the hydraulic line)or steel tubing.
install the aftermarket cooler out front.
Hope this helps.

Get a plate cooler. Tube and fin for same rating are much larger and with the amount of room the factory leaves between the grill and the A/C unit, your gonna need a physically smaller unit.
Figure out what your hauling (weight wise, GROSS COMBINED VEHICLE WEIGHT, and multiple by 1.5-2.0)this will give you weight rating range to work with. Personally I have always gone with 20-25,000 GCVWR coolers and never had a failure due to heat in towing for 31 years. None of the rigs (mine and Dad's) I've driven have grossed over 12,000#.
Go to local speed shop and tell them what your looking for. They should be able to work something up for you, as far as gauges are concerned.
