flew to chicago from cleveland today to pu this vehicle.....got as far as the Indiana - Illinois border and started noticing, that we were getting a binding, shutter feeling at low speed turns, ANY IDEAS?
Sounds like it might be a CV joint up front. If you do a tight radius turn, does it click going one direction or the other (or both?) If you have a cul-de-sac around your house, go drive around it in tighter and tigher turns. If it starts clicking, it's time for new CV's up front. Sometimes you can narrow it down and only replace one. If you do figure this is the problem, jack up one side with the steering turned all the way one direction. Turn the tire and see if it clicks or binds. Repeat for the other side.
The only other thing I can think of would be a wheel bearing going out, or possibly a u-joint on the front driveshaft, but that would be present all the time, not just in turns.
They are replaceable in the driveway, 'bout an hour each side. About $120 per side from Rockauto.
its in 2-wheel, the sound it makes, imagine the sound u would hear if u were turning and the tire wasnt rotating....now once the turn is done and we are going straight it goes away.

no clicking, just deep vibration and binding feeling....
Hmm...ok, just a simple one, but the power steering fluid is topped off right?
Does it happen to have oversized tires on it? Wonder if you are rubbing somewhere when you turn the wheel, like catching inside of fender or something? Might be worth looking around in the wheel wells to make sure the inner fender liner hasn't come off somewhere.
let's see, what else. Again, could be a wheel / hub bearing. You can check them by jacking up the wheel, and pushing in/out on the tire and jostling it around a bit. If it seems like it moves excessively, that might be the problem.
If it was a solid axle, I'd say front U-joints, but we don't have the nicety of those
what else what else. I'm probably overlooking something easy. Have you checked all the tie-rods and random linkages in the front end to make sure everything is tight?
Unless, by chance, it's the air-suspension compressor? It doesn't make the sound when you are in the driveway or anywhere else does it? Just trying to think of all possibilities.
03 and 04 are notorious for bad limited slip rear ends. If your Expy has the Advance Trac option, then you won't have a limited slip rear and that will obviously not be your problem. A co-worker of mine had an 04 with the grinding limited slip rear end and what yuo describes sounds exactly like that.
If you have limited slip, as soon as possible, change your fluid and add a tube of friction modifier. Hopefully it will go away and you'll be safe for a while. If not, then you're looking at rebuilding the rear end.
x3 with the limited slip also (I wasn't sure if it was front end or rear end noise.)
if it is coming from the rear, I'd also side with the LS being on the fritz. Change the oil and add 8oz of friction modifier to it. If you take it to a shop, remind them that the rear end REQUIRES synthetic fluid and friction modifier. If it contiunes to chirp, I've heard of people adding more friction modifier and (temproarily) ressurecting a limited slip from the grave.
good catch guys - I didn't even think of the LS in the back of these. My jeep used to rattle like crazy around turns, but I had a locker in the front and a solid axle

Actually, a lot of people describe it as coming from the front. And I would agree, my buddies 04 felt like it was coming from the front. I had already read numerous reports about it, so I knew exactly what it was when I felt it. He had no idea, he thought it was normal.
The front versus back issue caught me, and I was wise to the problem. For some reason the last time is seemed different. My dealer routinely adds 2 modifiers per change over 100k.
