Will this tire fit?

Sorry, I am really bad with tire sizes and such...

But, will this fit on my truck? LT285/70R17, the total diameter is 32.76 inches. I have a 4x2 with a 2 inch level kit. And more importantly do you think that those will fit with the stock rims? Because while I would like to get new rims eventually, i can't really afford them at the moment.

Thanks!

You can fit a 32" tire on a 4x2 just fine.

and the 285 width is only maybe 1" wider than stock...so it would be safe on the 7.5" wide rims you have right now.

The size you want however are going to be pushing it. that is almost 33" tall...which leads to rubbage on a stock 4x2.

have you looked at a 265/70/17? that is 32" tall...and would give you 0 issues.

the 285/70/17 you want is basically going to require a leveling kit...or some very selective cutting inside the fenderwell

Hey there,
I have been driving around with 285/70/R17 (Cooper Discoverer STT) for more than two years, including some heavy duty off road (sand and rocks), and I have never had any issues with rubbing. I have a 4x4 2005 Ford F-150 Lariat, and now the same tires on the 2009 F-150 FX, and that is fine too.

Well I have a level kit installed on the truck, so a 33 should fit?

Thank you both for your input.
