Actaully, this is the best. I found a '96 Grand Cherokee for $2800.
Needs some body work but has all new fluids, new tranny 30k ago, new engine 60k ago, new Sky Jacker 2" Suspension lift, 33" A/T's, and new wheels....parents said yes. Sorry, I don't own a ford anymore.
all the nice 73-79 fords in the world for less than 2k and your gonna buy a jeep.. i just passed up a real clean 79 f-150 4x4 for 1500.00 with fresh paint, trust me there is no lack of these truck its just if ya get yourself in a hurry at 16 you think that there is, i know i was there last year when i bought mine.. i love the truck but i'm now replacing everything from the rails up. just keep lookin and the rite deal will come your way.
My girlfriend owns a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, it gets the oil changed every 3000 miles, it gets a bath at least once a week, it gets vacuumed out once a week. Never been in a wreck, not a speck of rust on it. A transmission rebuild about five thousand miles ago. And I wouldn't trade 5 of it for my '74 F-250 We tried to sell it awhile back and couldn't get a decent offer so we tried to trade it in, they only wanted to give us $2000.00 trade in.
What I'm trying to say is that I don't believe that a '96 Jeep is worth $2800.00 and its not as good as a '73-'79 Ford 2WD or 4WD.
In my opinion, especially if your buying it to 4 wheel, don't buy the jeep.

Reason: wrong on year
don't worry guys, I'm gettin the jeep as a fun vehicle. Yes, now I am a 16 year old with two vehicles. No, I am not spoiled. I payed for both with my money from my job.
Actually, that $800 truck needs new shocks, and needs the cab mounts AND bed mounts re-welded. I have taken metals classes and I am taking a college course for my senior year (this year) to get certified for welding. My friend an I are actually thinking about buying it for off-roading and mudding since we have a lot of good area wround here.
So don't worry, nothing can ever take place of a ford.
So much for getting a truck to replace the 10 MPG escape you had GIVEN to you. And now you got another usless SUV that is going to get worse milage than the escape. I thought the idea was to get a TRUCK to be able to haul things? I'm just curious. How does a 16 year old come up w 2800 for a jeep and at least 4-5k for an escape

What the hell is your problem? I'm sorry you think my age group is lazy (which most are) but I'm not, I'm 16 and have two jobs. One I work full time as a housekeeper ( laugh all ya want) during summer then weekends during school. I also work for one of my dad's friends after school 5 days a week. Whether you wanna believe it or not, I'm not some dip**** who likes to just come on here and make **** up. That would be a waste of time. Im not trying impress you or anyone else. And the escape wan't GIVEN to me. I had to finish paying off the loan my parents took out on it. So stop wasting your time and giving me **** about everything.
And not to mention my parents MADE me start saving money when I was young, so I'm smart with it.
i double that, WHY... i mean your talkin about spendin 800.00 on a truck that looked to be much worth it and then spend 2800.00 on an overpriced jeep gc??? that money coulda bought a realy realy nice ford like ya wanted.
