Wheel universals

The wheel universals on my 92 F150 4x4 5 spd are almost gone and need replaced. What is the easiest way to do this? One guy told me I will have to drop the whole front end, and needless to say I would rather not. Any advice would be helpful thanks

Yeah thats what I mean we always just called them wheel universals. Any advice on how to change them?

unbolt the tires.
Remove caliper,hubs, rotors.
remove nuts holding on spindle, and spindle.
Remove axles
Replace FRONT AXLE U-JOINTS
Assem is reverse

Do you know what axle you have? There is a good article under Articles/Specs in the banner at the top of the page on doing them in a Dana 44 axle.
