Thank you all for your replies. I was on vacation for a week, or I would have responded sooner.
I had seen the highliner at LMS, but I wasn't sure of the quality. I am planning to restore my truck to near-original condition, and I like the look that mds47588 has with his headliner, so I will probably go that route. I just need to find a good donar board.
As for my doors, I am thinking of a set of upper door panels from LMS. How difficult would it be to transfer the XLT Lariat bright trim and cloth panels from my "chalky" door panel to the LMS panel? How good of a fit is the LMS door panel? I have read a few horror stories about ill fitting body parts.
Ya mine are power locks and wiondows also how much trouble is it to use on the manual door.
You just have to open up the manual window crank hole for the power window switch and you'd have to cut square holes out for the power locks.
I don't think it would be too hard. Just take your time and use a Rotozip or something like that to cut the plastic.
Also IMO if you are going to paint the door panels to match, I would recommend using the same color panel as a base. If and when you do scratch the paint off, if the base color is the same you don't see the scratch as bad. If you use a different color as a base (such as black) every time it gets scratched the black color will show though.
SEM has some really good paint that will hold up really well. It's not cheap, but cheaper than replacement door panels.
