I had the dreaded no-start from my ignition switch. first, I dropped the steering wheel and adjusted the switch forward. That worked for a few cranks, then quit again.
The lock cylinder and rod seem to rotate ok, but it just wouldn't crank.
I went a couple of days using the the screwdriver method.
Yesterday, I replaced the switch with a BWD branded replacement from oreilly's.
Its doing the same thing that it was before! I'll drop the steering wheel, make sure everything is where it should be, test crank it, everything will work fine, I'll put it back together, then when I go to start it later in the day - NO START.
Drop the steering wheel - check everything - cranks fine - 30 min later, no crank. I'm stumped.
It could be in the park/neutral safety switch. When it won't crank try wiggling the shift lever, if that works then the safety switch is either bad or out of adjustment
