So I aquired 4 35's already mounted from a friend the other day. They came off his 2001 F250 PSD with a 5.5 Fabtech lift... anyhow, I've been debating for a long time as to what lift to get and then how big to go. I really didn't want to go all that tall but wanted 35's to fill the wheel well just right. Long story made a little shorter, I put 'em on today and they fit my stock 4x4 without rubbing! Full turn, bumps and all!!! I'm thinking I might just do a leveling job in the front now... thoughts?
PS... I was so stoked I just had to tell someone... who better to share with??

I run 35s on mine and I couldn't make them fit without leveling. My truck has 3 inches in the front, and they look great...There are some pics of the kit I used and how the truck sits in my gallery. the kit is a shackle kit from ebay. I think they place I got it from was called sanderson welding.
pics tomorrow... I hope, not sure I know how to load them and all. 3inch should make 'er level huh? perfect! I'm excited to not have to go and do a big lift, even though I still like the idea of a lift!
There was a write up on here some time ago on how to make your own new shackels. I used it to make mine. Cast me about $10 as apposed to buying $100 one. If you have access to a welder, might be worth looking for or i can measure mine if needed.
Yeah 2.5 inches is all you need. When I first got my truck I installed a rough country add-a-leaf kit on it and it didn't level it enough for 35s so I then installed the sanderson welding kit and it gave me a total of 3 inches.
thoughts on installing DR springs for the added lift? this should get rid of negative arch thus creating a smoother ride no? this plus some good shocks up front and it should be smooth cruising huh?
anyone have issues using the hangers to get their level?
It's always a good idea to do a new front spring pack when doing a leveling kit. Not hangers and not add-a-leafs. The stock front springs get extremely fatigued thru the years, from the weight of the motor. You''ll notice that your truck will begin to bottom out hitting the bump stops, porpiosing and wearing out your ft tires quicker. If you do a spring pack leveling kit you'll notice how much nicer your truck will drive and handle as well. Acouple of other guys here including myself have had issues with the add-a-leafs either breaking and or also giving a crooked stance too. Save your money and do it right.
