NP 435 Gears
ANybody know where I can find info If the internal gears, specifical reverse and revers ideler are the same in a NP435 with a Standard trany as compared to a 4x4. I know the output shaft is a different length. What I'm looking at is a NP435 thats in a UPS truck for gears for my 4X4 in mine. The casting is the same but dont know how to find out without pulling tranny and taking it apart. Searched on "New Process" on the web but came up blank. ANy ideas would be appreaciated.

I'm not 100% sure but I believe there is no difference between the ups tranny and your 4x4 tranny. I've never seen anything in my manuals that state a change in the reverse ratio. the ratio is the only thing I think that would really effect interchange. I do know that there are AT LEAST three different ouptut shaft lengths. good luck.
