I have an '88 F-250 w/ C-6, it has transmission cooler lines that go to the drivers side of the radiator and also to an external cooler in front of the radiator.
I recently bought a transmission fluid temperature gauge, the transducer is to be installed in the supply line to the cooler. How do I tell which line is going to the radiator and cooler, and which is the return?
on my 77 the line at the front of the trans. is the out put line.
rember that tihs is from the toruqe converter and will read considerably hoter than the pan temp.
pull both lines hook up some rubber hose at the end have someone with a quick hand start the truck while you hold both in a drain pan, kill engine. whichever line the fliud comes out of is the out.
