Default tank switch position?

Can someone tell me the default position of the fuel tank 6 port tank selector valve?

I need to unplug the wire harness to the valve but didn't know which tank it will default to if I do.

If you disconnect the switch, the tank will stay on whichever it was on. Not sure about the harness to the valve.

^^What Aaron said^^

I don't think you need to worry. The repair manual says:

Removal:
Disconnect battery ground cables and remove the fuel tubes from the valve as outlined.
Remove electrical connector.
Remove the two bolts mounting the selector valve.

Installation:
Follow removal procedures in reverse order.
Tighten selector valve mounting bolts to 9-12 lb-ft

Yeah, but I want to still drive it with the wire harness unplugged and I need it to stay selected on the Front Tank, If thats not possible I wont worry about it.

The switch reverses the polarity going to the valve and the valve is motor driven, it will remain on whatever tank it's on when you unplug it. The valve also controls which fuel level sending unit is being read, once you unplug the harness you gauge will no longer work.

I know if you unplug the switch the truck won't start... if you unplug the valve you may end up with the same results.

You can unplug it with no problems. Mine was unplugged for a few days while I put in the 3rd tank and 2nd selector switch and valve.
