I would look for a complete kit - fabtech - rancho - sky jacker. Is it 4x4 or 2x4? If you are running bigger tires you will need a spacer between the drw. you don't want them to rub when you have weight on the truck

With dual wheels you need two of those high dollars spacer kits to run tires wider than 235.

You need one set between the wheels and one set against the hub so the tires clear the springs.

Bigger tires on a dually gets expensive fast.

A lift kit from one of the off road vendors is your best bet.

im just asking because in my opinion diesels are for work and gassers are for play the 4" lift is still useable but much past that you cant tow or haul anything.but again thats just my opinion.im not trying to tick anyone off.but lifting a diesel is alot of maintenance compared to a gasser because they are harder on equipment with the torque and added weight.i might go 4" on mine one of these days.but no more than that.i bought my truck to use it.

There is a truck here that has an 8in lift and it hauls this massive trailer at some impressive speeds. I know he has aton of mods becaue he can pass cars with the trailer uphill no problem. Either way, it is all how much money you have to put into it. You can make custom trailers, but its all what you have to spend. Guys dont lift trucks like this one to show how much they can pull with their truck if you get what i mean.

i get what you mean but this truck is a drw truck so off road it would be worthless a 2wd will go more places plus the crap load of extra weight on the front will just sink in a muddy situation.i mean dont get me wrong it will look really cool it just wont be "useable"its like building an all out 1000hp drag car and never taking it to the drag strip or buying a semi and never using it.maybe im just gettin old.but these truck were made for work.im not knocking anyone for wanting to lift a truck.im just stating the results of lifting this particular truck.not at all trying to come off like a jerk or party pooper lol.i just dont want someone to regret doing the lift.

my neighbor has a super dooty crew dually and tows a 40 somthin foot fith wheel and his truck.it is lifted on (6) 38's. i think he has 8 or so inch of lift. my 89 crew tows my rock crawler just fine. it has a home made lift with a stock set of rear springs in the front and a shackle reversal in the rear with 38.5's.

The only problem with lifting or lowering a tow vehicle is the hookup height.

There are methods to compensate either way!

However, it does make it hard to just hookup to any ol trailer and head down the road!

I've seen lifted trucks dragging the back of the trailer cause they were to stupid to fix it!

Regardless, your trailer should remain roughly parallel with the ground.

-Enjoy
