C6 Shift kit and fluid

C6 Shift kit and fluid
I was wondering since I already have my tranny out if its ok to turn it upside down to install the shift kit. Also, what type and amount of fluid is best for the C6? Are there any other inexpensive worthwile mods to do why Im in there? Thanks.

Not an expert but I can think of no reason why you should not turn it over and install the shift kit. The C6 holds around 13qts of fluid, including the torque converter, which in your case, should be empty.
As for type of fluid it should say on the dipstick.
