Replacement Carpet
Does anyone know where I can get the carpet that covers the firewall on our trucks? I have found several places to buy the molded carpet kits, but all I have found so far are molded ABS plastic covers for the fire wall.
My restoration has taken so long that I don’t recall for sure, but looking at pictures I took it looks like the carpet was cut away behind the factory A/C unit. So if I find the carpet or use one of these ABS covers (I would rather have carpet); do I need to remove the piece directly behind the A/C unit?

There was not a firewall cover in my truck. It had carpet on the floor and the firewall. I have looked at the ABS firewall covers and decided I dont want to go that route. I have sound proofed everything and will cut a peice of carpet to cover the firewall. I will get extra yardage when I purchase the carpet kit.
