Really enjoyed meeting all of you in Pegion Forge this weekend. Sahara and Courtney certainly had a great time riding on the cooler. We made it home safely....even if it was a trip without air or powersteering... belt broke as soon as we left the hotel !! Truck ran SUPER for its first long trip. 15 mpg - 330 miles
56Harley is your name Kevin Traylor? If so did you get the photo from Steve who owns the charcoal 53' with the 4.6 Mustang Engine. Also if this you Kevin welcome to the board. Glad you drove your truck.
Get ready for questions also. I am still enamored with your power antennna
Hey Melissa is that bridge at Sittin' Down creek? BTW, thanks for sticking out the bad times and enjoying the good times. I always heard them Georgia girls are tough.
You know, I honestly don't know the name of the creek, haha. The bridge is in Euharlee, just outside Cartersville and right near the GA Power Plant.
And yeah, us Georgia girls are pretty tough. I always tell folks I'm Built Ford Tough.
Courtney was over for a few minutes and we were next door talking and she was telling everyone about the cutiest girl she has ever seen and had a beautiful name (Sahara) of course, your right, they did have a good time, later Garry
Yes, this is Kevin Traylor. Enjoyed visiting with you and yes I did get the photo from Steve. I LOVED driving the truck! I'll tell you whatever you want to know about the Harley truck - never tire of talking old trucks - and if there's a detail I don't know the answer to, I'll find out from the guy that built it for me - Don Jacks.
I first fell in love with the '56 style truck ( and bought my first one!) when I was 14 years old. I still have it and drove it today. 1956 trucks are my passion and even though I really like my Harley truck and it has won a lot of awards, that's definitely not what it's about. All the years and shows that i drove my old one to and never won a trophy with it (including a 17 hr trip to Dothan, AL) and all the people that I've met and the common bond that we all share..... that's what it is all about.

You are in the right place. We are just a bunch who love these old Ford Trucks from the slick ones like the Harley truck to beaters like mine. Welcome again.
Pictures Kevin, show us pictures. I had planned on doing a 56 HD F-100 also. Looks like you beat me to it. Really interested to see what you did with it.
Hey a while back someone mentioned something about a name tag or something at the shows so we know who belongs to this bunch. How about a ball cap with the letters, F.T.E. maybe even a T shirt with FTE on the front and a truck & the web address on the back. Any volenteer's out there to get this thing started ???
There's never enough time to do all the nothing you want
Howdy friend. Glad you joined. Now I can keep up with you a little better. Like Tacson said, I'm glad to see you drive your truck and get enjoyment out of it too. Have a great day. Rick

If you go in the shop at the top of the page they have a tshirt for sale. I think it has a 55 or 56 on the back along with another truck or two.
A few minutes ago I reached in my pocket and found the card you gave me at the Pigeon Forge show this past weekend that I had forgotten you had given to me. When I found it, I went to the web address on the card and have been reading your story. I am only about halfway through and am thoroughly enjoying it. I recommend everybody here to go there for some interesting reading. For anybody that doesn't know where it is, it's http://tinyurl.com/Car-Nut.com. I am going to go back there and finish reading your story. I would sure like to know what happened to that 38 Lasalle with the factory sunroof too the cops impounded!!!
