Question Opinions please :)

Ok i got the 88 ford 150 5.8. It already gets terrible gas mileage im wanting to do a carb swap and get rid of the e.f.i headache in the ole girl its just a sunday driver really is this a good idea ? any opinions would help

Are you talking about swapping the engine or making the original EFI carbed?

same motor just swap the e.f.i for a carb i've had a few people say its better and i've had a few people tell me im crazy lol

Well, tell ya the truth, an EFI engine is better. Why do you wanna do it? impulse todo it or it the engine givin ya crap or what?

well yes and no lol i put a new motor in it last year and i plugged the wrong plug in to the egr and it blew my computer when i turned my heater on as weird as it sounds and ever since then it will run great and then act like its loading up i give it a lil gas and it straitens out but idk i just kinda wanna do it here is a pic of it if it works lol

Don't swap to carb man, just take the time to get to know EFI and how to modify it and you will love it!

i did a carb swap and ran 14.4 in the 1/4 with it before gears and nitrous i love it

if you seriously want to do it pm me and i'll tell you what you need to do

basically run a new 3/8ths return line to the tank with a bypass fuel pressure regulator get a carb intake and a carb new dissy and your good put your fuel pump on a toggle switch too
