HELP with squeaky brakes
Help before I end up with a Dodge or a six leaker. I absolutely love my truck except for a squeaky drivers side rear brake. It squeaks going around sharp left hand curves and sometimes while braking. So far I have pulled the axle and checked the wheel bearings (which were fine), put 2 different sets of pads on it and made shure the dust shield wasn't rubbing. I'm out of ideas. The caliper slides move easily and the rotor is in good shape.

How do you know your rotors are good? I put new pads on my wifes tahoe,the rotors looked fine but squeeled/squeeked all the time(braking or not),we replaced all four rotors and it hasnt squeeked since.Just my .02 worth

You can try putting a thin coat of anti-seize or grease on the side of the brake pad that sits on the caliper, NOT the rotor side! This may eliminate the chatter(squeak) by removing the metal to metal contact.Keep us updated.
