1973 3-speed

I have a 3 speed trans with a 240 inline 6. I am going to be changing the engine to a 351C that I am hoping to get around 350 HP out of. Will the 3 speed bolt up and if so will it handle this much power or should I change the transmision too. Thanks in advance.....

change the transmission. if you want the strongest, go with t18 or t19. if you want strong with overdrive get zf.

or if you want stronger still go with the np435 i have 1 in my 78 with a 300 6 perfact gear ratios. rear is a 2.75 ratio

That 3 speed is a pretty strong tranny. I wouldn't be afraid to hook it up to your motor. My buddy is putting a 400+ HP 351C in front of his. They are not however good for ripping though the gears.
