I have a 1970 F100 with a 302 V8 and a C6 transmission the dipstick that is in it looks like it came out of a van because it comes over the back of the engine and almost all the way to the distributor which is in the front.Obviously you can't get an accurate reading with this setup. Can I get any tube and dipstick from a C6 that will work? Can you get just the tubes and stick or do you have to buy the whole tranny or can you order them? Need Advice
Question, Why do you think that you can't get a good reading with that stick? If the end of the stick fits properly in the tranny pan, you should get good readings. It does work while on the van, right?
