Disconnect it from both top and bottom and raise it up as far as it will go and hold it there with a jack and then cut as low as you can from the top. If you do it right you'll only have to make just the one cut.
Spend the extra money and get some good long metal cutting blades. I had good cutting blade but it was a little short so I had to do multiple cuts. Do like BlueMule says and get it up as high as you can.
I've got a good long metal cutting blade... The all the exhaust is off besides the dowpipe. Cat was already deleted and I sold my stacks so all I had was a short piece of straight pipe let anyways.
Gotta replace my CPS this weekend too since that's acting up again.
Ok, time to complain here... I HATE TOOLS WITH BATTERIES!!!!
Used two batteries in a Sawzall to get about halfway through the stock downpipe... Now I have to wait till the batteries recharge to finish cutting it! And I'm stuck at home till the new pipe is in cause my wife took her car to a baby shower.
I really need to buy a sawzall of my own... borrowing my friend's 18V battery powered one sucks.
