About 10k miles ago I had the rotors ground and installed Hawk pads. I found one calliper some what frozen so I figured that may have contributed to the warped rotors. Reassembled everything and life was go od for about 6k miles. Back to sguare one now. Just looking for some feed back on what people think are good quality rotors. Also was wondering if I can still use my $70 Hawk pads?
My experience with rotors has been that if one gets the cheapo china made rotors w/limited warranty don't expect good results. On the other hand American made rotors w/lifetime warranty are much more expensive but will make you a happy camper in the long run, just make sure to keep your receipt(s). I ordered a set for our T-Bird through Rockauto (sponsor here at FTE) and were reasonably priced. good luck!!
I personally love my Powerslot Slotted Rotors. You can get them in the cryo treated or plain variety. Not cheap, around $100 or so a piece, but far worth it.

Funny you mention a t-bird. Here's my experience with my own '96 t-bird, sport option, early '96 so it didn't have the upgraded front brakes. Rotors warped at around 5K miles. Bought the car brand-new. Brought it to the dealer, they cut them, they warped again in 500 miles.
Went out, bought top-of-the-line Napa rotors and pads, made in Canada I think, no problems for over 40K miles. Pads were worn down to almost nothing, and replaced them with the same pads, but used the el-cheepo Chinese-made rotors for 1/3rd the price as the top-of-the-line Napa ones.
Rotors are still on the car, still perfect, another 30K on them since I did them, my sister now owns the car.
So, in my experience, with one of THE WORST cars for warped rotors (too small - they went to the Mark VIII rotors on the 96=97 "sport" version like my '97 Cougar), the el-cheepo chinese rotors worked just fine.
If you are stuck, don't be afraid of them, just be sure to check them before you pay for them. They can be dinged up in shipping, bad finish, rusty, etc, but if you get a good set, no need to be afraid of them.
