Ignition timing

Is it possible to advance the timing on my 93 F-150. 5.0 without using chips or some aftermarket ignition system?

Id probably say yes since its possible on the 460, to the left of your main comp harness youll find a grey plug in jumper that is the ground disconect for your timing, you pull that loosen your distributor and time it like any other motr then shut her off and plug it back in after tightening the dist I run 13* on the 460 gives about the same response as the chip did for a friend. BTW you might post this to the 1987-96 F-series string youll get more advise through that.
