F5 coe battery cover/step
I cleaned the side of both drivers and passenger frame rail today. Can't see any numbers. Is it located on the top of the frame rail? I might have to remove the cab to see the numbers. There is a tag on the outside of the fire wall but some dummy drilled holes in it to mount something.
Thanks for the help!!!

Just looked at the 51 f5 coe chassis and the vin number is almost directly above the axle top rail of the passenger side. (easy to spot with the cab off
)
i then opened the hood on the 52 f5 COE to see if I could easily access the same spot to check vin but you will need really long arms to reach in there, or maybe your 14 yr old can squeeze in there?
maybe with the doghouse off it could be accessed from inside the cab easier?

You guys should have seen my Son, He was a major dust bunny from cleaning every part of the fram he could get to. It was funny when I just told him this new info. He laughed and asked why it was put where you can't even get to it. I told him this is just the first of many head scratching adventures to come!
Thanks so much for everyones help!!!!!

I just bought one on Ebay. I think Ill make patterns and figure out how to make more. Anyone interested?
Possibly. It will depend on the accuracy of the pattern/model, and price.
As close as I can
