Hey guys, I was wondering if any of you had an intercooler lying around that you wanted to get rid of. I have a 96 that I would like to add an intercooler to. I know the 6.0 one is better but the 7.3 one is better then none. Thanks.
I have my old stock 7.3... cleaned up, no damage aside from a few slightly bent cooling fins what I'll be glad to straighten out. I've taken some pics, but don't have them with me right now and can get them to you this evening.
I took it out because I upgraded to a 6.0L IC this spring.
Send me an email at "pete . cleveland @ kbr . com"... remove the spaces.
I'll have one shortly as well if anyone needs one. My 6.0 I/C is sitting in my garage waiting for the 6.0L trans cooler to get here (thanks again Pete!!).
I came here to Birmingham to work for BE&K Engineering Company, which was still private and headed up by the "K" family when I arrived. Mr. K. then decided it was time to retire and sell the company, and it was KBR that bought us about this time last year.
What capacity were you in? Military, subcontractor, KBR direct, etc.?
They are definitely BIG, and have brought their BIG world with them to our office, and some of the changes have the potentially to really hurt our business with smaller jobs and smaller clients. For example, I (and several other engineers) could have been billing my time to a contract for over two weeks now if the corporate folks had not refused a client's PO because they listed our office name as "BE&K Engineering, Inc." instead of "BE&K Engineering Co.". Instead, we still do not have a contract and I haven't been able to bill a single hour of my time while this fiasco is getting resolved.
I think they're SO big that they just don't comprehend how to get work done in the more dynamic and responsive economic environment our office faces with our smaller clients.
I am military. We demil'ed and built a few fuel farms and we dealt with them for fuel. Since they came to us for fuel I got to know alot of the contractors. Everybody loves the guys with fuel, its kind of importnant lol.
I would like to thank Pete for responding and offering to sell his old intercooler. Unfortunately I put a bid on one about 10 minutes before Pete offered and no one else bid on it, so I won it. But thank you agian.
If you have a set of pipes with connectors I would be interested.
