Linkage Ajt from C6

Linkage Ajt for C6
OK, I have a 72, 427, Eldenbrock carb, OEM 4bbl intake and I can only get 1/4 throttle, The Tranny kick down ( Also OEM ) is limitng this, How do I correctly ajt this? There is a Ehgagement setting screw on the carb, But I dont know where to star. WOT? or Closed?

Is that an FE 427 or a stroked Windsor 427? It sounds like maybe your kickdown rod is bent a little out of correct shape? Just work the throttle by hand at the carb and adjust the screw out until the kickdown arm/rod to the transmission doesn't move until about 1/2-3/4 throttle. Good place to start.
