I decided to use Omni Acrylic Enamel to paint the truck. It was like trying to spray water. I got around the truck twice with a gallon of paint. I ran it in a few places and my neighbor who is a much better painter said he would help me fix the runs. So at this point I have two quarts of Delstar Acrylic Enamel and it will reduce to about a gallon of paint, so this evening when it cools down a bit I am going to do two more coats of paint and call it good. This will be the last time I ever use Omni except for cleaning products. It looks pretty good but I hate runs. Here is a few Pics of it.
Yeah but I think its a little brighter because my Sealer Coat was White and the original was kind of a rust red primer. I am about to post some more pictures of it with all the paper taken off. I have some serious bright work to take care of.
An important thing to remember; florescent lights change the color you are looking at and cameras accentuate that effect. Your mind corrects what your eye truly sees. Florescent lights turn color a greenish/yellow tint. You won't see the true color until you get the truck outside in natural light. Paint booth lighting at professional auto painting centers use full spectrum lighting to correct the florescent lighting affect. The cost of full spectrum lighting is very expensive compaired to florescent shop tube lighting.
Great job and I can't wait to see it with all the bright work back on.

Thanks for the Complement, I did get it out of the shop today and it did seem to tone down a bit. I sure do like the color. I am trying to find someone that specializes in Ford interior so I can find the proper seat cover for the bench seat. We moved the truck into the rebuild area so It will be a couple of days before I get it all back together. I will post more pics when I get it all back together.
JRB65, are you going to color sand before you finish putting it all back together? Just buffing will bring out a shine, but color sanding will make for a much deeper shine by knocking down the orange peal. Just remember, whether color sanding or compound buffing, tape off the hard edges of the body so you don't sand or buff through the paint. You wouldn't want to mess up all your hard work hastly trying to make a deep shine.
