2001 expedition ABS problem
Hi guys, I recently had some work done to my car. I had the d/s ball joints and tie rod replaces and also had a leak in my rear diff fixed. Now my ABS is on. I've also noticed that my emergency break doesn't really stop my car from rolling when at a full stop. So I'm pretty sure that means time for new breaks even though I have no stopping issues. But back to the ABS light. Is there any way to tell what the exact problem is? Ie: a code or something? If so where can I find out how to do this?

No emergency brake is likely caused by leaking rear axle seals. Just fix the seals and clean up the emergency brake shoes with the brake cleaning fluid. These shoes are hardly worn out. The emergency brake shoes are located inside the rear rotors. ABS light is very likely caused by a bad ABS sensor located on top of the rear differential or sensor was not re-connected. You mentioned a leak at diff. was fixed, was it a pinion seal leak or axle seal leak?
