I guess I'm still confused on the design of the thermostat I just told the parts guy what year truck I had and thats what he gave me. Should i ask specific questions?
Montana,not trying to step on your post about the Motorcrafts.Another poster here awhile back said he had talked to two different Ford dealers in his area about this thermostat,and that was the information he was given.I used to purchase them at rockauto myself,but they have been discontinued there as well.I know you can purchase them at Amazon,but the shipping is almost as much as the part.
I gave you the Stant part numbers,and Montana Highboy gave you the Motorcraft numbers.These are a specific style thermostat for the 335 series engine which you have.

AutoGiant.com still sells them for 6 bucks, but like you said it will cost you another 5 or 6 bucks just to ship it.
Motorcraft RT139 (192f) went obsolete a few months ago.
When looking for a thermostat, you need to find a thermostat that has the extra pellet that sticks out when the thermostat opens. Don't buy one without it.
What type of A/C? Dealer, aftermarket, or factory integral? How's the fan clutch?
Well I went to o'reilly auto parts today and the thermostat they show for my truck is a murray 192...it seemed to help it only creeped up to about 205 once and that was just off the hwy at a stop sign then it went back to 200.
