C6 shifting problems
I have a C6 behind my 460 that is having a problem. . The shifter is installed properly and you can put it in 1st no problem so I know its not that the shifter is restricting it.
The problem is, it shifts great when you put it in drive until 3rd gear comes around. Then it seems as if it doesnt shift into 3rd. I have put the truck into neutral then shifted it back and nothing. When you are cruising about 55 and shift into 2nd on the shifter it doesnt change anything. I have let off the gas seeing if it would shift and no.
When we installed this 460/C6 in my 65 F-100 we took off the kickdown rod. Im wondering if that is stuck in the down position and not letting the truck shift.
Any other suggestions?
