Take a hose to the windshield. Run the water on it and see if it reproduces the symptoms. If it does, then you have water leaking down the inside of the firewall. It happened to my Wife's expy, months after the windshield was replaced. It was a very dry spring and summer and it took us a long time to figure it out, because it obviously only happened when it got wet, and we don't wash her truck much.
