need helps with wires for overdrive button

some of you may remember me when i was on here few months about the truck i was working on with the glow plug and injector issue. well now i need to know which wires in the over drive button turn the OD on. an employee broke the button off and then cut the wires since he didn't know how to fix it. right now the truck has the OD off but we need it on.

Just take the steering column cover off and trace the wires coming out of the shift lever to the little plug. You should be able to figure it out from there. Of course it would be easier to just buy a new shift lever and plug it in so you have a functioning OD button.

Mine was broke and missing when I bought my truck to, I went to the junkyard and found a replacement, it was an easy fix. the wiring scheme is as follows:
Purple/Brown = 1
Light Blue/Tan = 2
Green/White = 3
there are pics in my gallery under tid bits folder. I did buy a shifter lever while I was at the junkyard too, Thats when I noticed there is a differance in wire columns from the plug (hidden inside the column) to the end where it plugs into the button. I used super glue to glue the plastic switch back into place figuring I could put off replacing the shifter to another day, but the super glue is still holding up, even with daily use.

Turn the truck off and restart it. It will now have the overdrive on. It always starts with overdrive on.
