I have been thinking about putting a manual transmission into my truck. I was wondering how much work was involved and if anyone has done it. I think I will need to get a new transmission and tranfer case, possibly different driveshaft lengths, install a clutch, and possibly change the computer. Does the computer need to be changed? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
Ryan, You gotta hate your auto might bad to want to go through that much punishment. You didn't mention the clutch pedal and mounting hardware to operate the clutch. It can be done but it is a lot more trouble to go the other way.
Good Luck if you decide to do it.
