I know there's been some debate on wether or not Amsoil meets the standards for the 6.0 or not.
Well, there's no debate now. Not that the lubricant was ever questionable - I just know that there was some concern in the past.
Amsoil now meets and exceeds the CJ4 rating and has it in black and white. It's backwards compatable, so no need to buy the previous rated lubricants.
APPLICATIONS
AMSOIL Premium CJ-4 Synthetic 15W-40 Diesel Oil is recommended for diesel engines and, where appropriate, gasoline engines requiring any of the following specifications:

You will find that not too many people on this site care for Amsoil, so you won't see very much positive chatter about them. Whether it meets or exceeds it, the API website doesn't list this oil as carrying the API certification. I'm not challenging you; I run Amsoil myself. Just letting you know that people will use the API site against.
