So I'm at the point now where I HAVE to make the purchase on the doubler. can't run my brake lines, fuel lines or build my fuel cell now so I'm down to buying it. Does anyone have one in their rigs and what do you think of it? I'm looking at the northwest fabworks kit. I'm worried about buying a cheaper kit with a resplined shaft considering I'm on 44 inch boggers and I have a tendancy to be overweight in my right foot. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!
Been running a doubler and a kit from Northwest fab for three years and zero, I say zero issues.
The adapter is second to none, and I have had nothing but great things to say about this kit.
Awesome.
Actually building another using a divorced 203 range box. This way I can mount it and run identical drive shafts front and rear.
Just wish we had a 3:1 option. Fingers crossed.
There was a company that used to build a 3:1 kit for the 203 called wagoneer machinery or something like that, but have never been able to find it. I sure wish I could cause I'd love to have that option as well. Did you tripple stick yours?
You can find some old posts where we discussed this. I had a lengthy conversation with Ivan, and fishy back when I was goint through this.
I use three sticks, and have also purchased the three stick cable activated shifters from the same company. I built one some time ago but was not as clean as the one I bought.
I used to have an old PTO in the truck back then (since removed) and had a trans tunnel that looked like a porcupine. Things got real busy there.
I will try to research this 3:1 kit. I am only aware of chebbys and dodges with this capability, and would love to see a Ford with one,,,, mine.
chevys have this capability because there is a company building a 3:1 205, but it requires a new case and only offer a passanger side drop, no drivers side for some STUPID REASON!!!! Don't they know that fords wheel too?

That would be Lo-max, and you are correct, they only offer a pass side drop. The nodular case is strong, and looks nice, but lacks a PTO option.
I i saw where its either northwest or ORD where you can buy just the shaft for about half the cost of the kit. How hard would it be to make the mounting plate? I was thinking about going that route. Or just haveing the stock 203 output shaft machined and splined to fit in the 205 and making the adapter.
I'm running a kit from Jed's Machine. I bought the unwelded kit with a resplined shaft.(Paid $475) I have had it for about a year and a half. I have the 205 clocked up so its close to level with the bottom of the frame. I also built a tripple stick for it. Its not the best looking thing, but it works great. O Jed's also sells brand new shafts instead of the resplined. I am running a C6 trans so I think the resplined shaft will last longer than if I had a strait stick. The auto has more "cushin" than the stick so there isn't as much stress put on the shaft.
