Pardon me folks, where is the cabin and campground at for this? I have been out of the loop. Thanks. I really want to make this if I can.
Mike, I think all the cabins are booked up but you could call just to be sure.
Here is a link to the website with all the info http://koa.com/where/tn/42132/

Well screw it then. I am supposed to bring momma for this. Someone give up a cabin or I may not make it. I already had my diesel event for the year.
JK, but I need to get on the ball. I am out for a few weeks and see what happens. I will not be making this event if theo does not go.
Several are staying in hotels. Here a a few of the local ones the campground owners sent me.

Thanks Barry, but if I am not at the campgrounds with everyone else, I will be staying elsewhere which is farther than I like so I won't be able to party. We have friends in the area. Do we have a hotel list of where/who folks are staying?
Anybody know a good place to pull off and sleep when we get around Roanoke, VA.?? We stayed at the KOA in Lexington a couple years ago but wanted to try the road trip thing, the Wal-mart or rest area thing, and not have't to worry about problems. PM me if you have any ideas......
Id maybe post that question in the VA chapter, or PM Tristan

Thank you for the offer, Ill let you know when time gets closer.
If anyone lives close to an airport and needs/wants some company for the ride, that might work better. No offense to Pete or Jim, I just dont want to have anyone drive out of there way to pick me up.

My father lives near Petersburg Va, I know it's out of the way, but he has room for campers, it's safe, and he's a pretty good guy, I like him. Don't tell anyone but he's a Cummins man, my brother is a powerstroke guy though.
Which reminds me; some of you guys were talking about your names and the jokes etc, Darrell may not have a brother named Darrell but, my name is Howard and my brother's name is Howard. I'll explain at the rally. I heard "Howard the duck" and "how we doin Howie?" more times than I care to count, or could for that matter.
On a different note, anyone doing tents? It looks like I'll be alone, and it seems kind of silly for me to get a site just for myself. So if any one wants to share a tent site I'ld be willing.
I might take you up on that offer, I wont know till it gets closer though.

I will deffinatly be trying to watch that if I can. If I was still up north Id need new glow plugs and when I do that I want to do injectors

I do believe the tech around the site would be quite interesting. I may just suffer and bring dino and see if you guys can figure out what in the hell is wrong with her.

The list is posted in several places. Don't feel bad. I don't have a camper yet and I cannot handle a cot with the back. I will have to stay in a motel. I do want one real close by but I cannot deal with a roach motel. Hey locals in the aea, check them out and give me a suggestion.

I hope he can too, wanted to meet the almost 400 hp last year at Smolin, didn't pan out but I hope it does this year Mike. I won't be drinking much, I could drop you off at nite so there's no problems, CDL holder here, can't afford to loose my license.

Yep, definately know where Man is. I used to work a lot of insurance claims in that area, including floods. Hell, if we are near the same age, we probably know each other. Seems like I got to know just about everybody there, especially when they were building that "Bridge to Nowhere!" I could just drive into town and get mobbed. The sentence that everybody said to me was "Those SOB's set off a blast last night and now I have holes in my roof and dents in my truck!" They (the people of Man) got to know my old dark blue SD Diesel. I took care of them and they took care of me. Never had to worry about a place to crash or eat. Great people in that part of the county.
