I like the older grille style and headlights...Has any one done it with out replacing all the front body panels. I figure you could make it work but it would be a little recessed...
Ive seen people that have done it, but it looks like *** IMO, just swap the whole front clip over, core support and all, its really a easy job, biggest thing will be swaping over the plugs for the lights.
I agree I like the 1st get front ends better myself, its on my long to do list as well
if your bent on doing it the other way go over to therangerstation.com there is a few guys thats have dont it like that.
the hood, fenders, and core support will all bolt right up, the lower valance where the turn signals are on the 1st gen clip will be in the way of your bumper as it sits now.
but yes the clip its self is identical in dimentions.
I'd offer you a front clip that's 100% rust free from one of my local wreckers, but I think shipping would be a killllleeeeeerrrrr
