front end shimmy
I have a 06 F250 SD 4x4 PS FX4 Regular cab. I have 4 new Reflex shocks, Goodyear Wrangler LT-275/65R20 Tires and Stock OEM 20" HD wheels. The truck and tires have 63k miles. The tires still have enough tread depth to pass Texas inspection. I have had all 4 wheels and tires rotated and computer balanced about every 10k miles.This truck does not have a steering stabalizer. It didn,t come with one for some reason. I know as I purchased it new. This shimmy does not happen every day but it starts at 30-35 mph and will stop when I slow down or floor it up to 50-55. I plan to take it to my dealer but I just want to go to them with some idea of whats wrong. My thinking is a tie rod end but with someone turning the steering wheel with me under the front of the truck I can not find excessive play in my opinion. Thanks in advance. Charles
