96 E-350 front end shimmy

87,000 miles on my E-350 van, I'm experiencing a steering wheel shimmy when I apply the brakes. I had a slight shimmy previous to yesterday, however it's gotten worse since I installed new (Ford) pads, had the rotors cut, and re-packed and adjusted the front wheel bearings (yesterday). The front tires show wear on the inside of the treads.Are worn ball joints the usual suspect? Thanks for any thoughts.

If the tires are wearing more on the inside edge of the tread then the Toe is off . Its possible the Ball Joints are worn also . Best thing to do is have an alignment shop check the front end specs & to see if the ball joints need replacing .

It turns out that poorly cut rotors were the cause of my steering wheel shimmy/shudder. I took them back to machine shop and the tech re-cut them. Thanks for the response.
