Hey guys and gal's Just wanted to ask a question about those of you that are running the 2 stroke oil in your fuel. Exactly what are ya'll running in your trucks?? I know it's from wally world and it's ashless and if I'm not mistaken it's TWC- 3 or 4 I think. Any input is great
THANKS AHEAD!!!!!!!!
Do a search, There are numerous posts new and old on this practice. I myself have been using it for 20,000 so far and for the last 2 winters did notice the start time was around 2 seconds or less and no stumble or smoke on cold start up. A lot of users claim it makes the truck run quieter but since I can't hear that well anymore, I could not swear to that. The ratio I use is 1 oz to 1 gallon of fuel because it's easy to calculate, and I do this from reading what other people have been using. It has no ill effects on the fuel filters as I just had mine changed with 14,000 on them and asked the tech how they looked appearance wise. He was wondering why they had a slight bluish tint to them. I told him I run a load of Sunoco 260 now and them to clean the injectors.
Yes I've put it in and do belive it is quieter. Nown that I'm using it do I always have to from here on in, and is it safe to use kleen diesel with it?? THANKS TO ALL FOR THE INPUT! Happy Fathers Day to all!
I actually mix it with the aditive I use. I am using the Motor Craft additive and I just empty 1/2 the bottle and add my TWC-3 to the bottle to fill it back up so I am running 1/2 and 1/2. Maybe overkill but it works for me and the Ford tech said it was ok to do it. I have just changed the fuel filters too and they were significantly cleaner than the last time. I know that probably has nothing to do with it but maybe the fuel is geting cleaner.
So after my senseless rambling in answer to your question yes its ok to run it with your aditive of choice.

Well this might sound STUPID but the DK jug said use 8oz. per 25gal. and if you want the extra cleaning use 16oz. That's a far cry from 30oz is it ok to use this much?? I understand about the TWC I was beside another 6.0 today and mine was ALOT quieter than theirs!! I'm just wandering about the DK and 30oz???? Hey if it works I'm all about it and ya'll have never pointed me in a wrong direction! Just wandering??
I run Yamalube 2R. 5 oz per 3 gallon. I have found Yamalube to be a very good oil in my bikes. I always have it around so I use it for the truck too. Same results as above, quiter, starts quicker and with about 1 mpg gain.
I've been running them at roughly 200:1. Typically I pull up to the pump, guess how many gallons it will take to fill and multiply that number by 2/3. The result is how many ounces of oil I add.
I add 1qt of 2stroke oil to a fill up. I stopped using diesel kleen at every tank since I was using it primarily for lubrication. I will though add 8oz to a tank once a month as a cleaner. The over kill of the diesel kleen though will strip away the benifits of the 2stroke oil as it is a cleaner not a real lubricant

That kinda makes sense of it removing all you are doing with the 2-Stroke
