Post air ride

my 98 expedition has an air ride suspension. i was wondering what would happen if an air bag should fail. would the vehicle come crashing down to the ground or is there a safety of some kind to prevent that from happeninig? also how low will it go if my air pump should fail to operate.thanks. air ride

My bags and some connecting hardware blew last year. The whole rear of the car dropped until the shocks were bottomed out, sort of like a low rider. A trip to the dealer and $700 later, all was well. When I went to pick the car up, the kid who brought the car aroun actually referred to it as a low rider. Still having problems with this piece of sh$t suspension. No more air suspension for me. Trying to figure out how to get rid of it.

Hope this helps.
