Keep the memory alive...

My boys 5 and 7 are getting ready to go parade with the veterans. I'm glad this day is set aside to pass along memories and pay respect.

of..

Fighting in deep cold mud trenchs in France, fighting off Huns, rats and infection. And getting gassed.

Fighting hand to hand, farmhouse to farmhouse through Italy and having your best bud cut if half in front of you..

Bobbing in the North Atlantic winter in near freezng water after your ship has been torpedoed and flames are everywhere.

All family members, all heroes and all gone now.
