Overheat Question

So...I should not trust the transmission issue hasn't really been addressed yet....what do you all think?

I am not a trans guy. But i would test my gauge to make sure it is accurate seeing the shop may have recorded a higher number. Way higher.

Could the Cooler Bypass Valve be open and not allowing the oil to travel through the cooler?

More questions i know. Just tossing out some idea's.
Still confused on why the oil is up near the front wheel (unless a line blows)and being able to pick up past data out of the memory banks. The vent appears to be on the top of the trans just the bell housing. Thinking, Or the hot oil Pushed out your filler neck.

I guess i would just clean everything real well and see were the oil comes from and double check the gauge. I checked mine before i installed it. Wanted to make sure it is telling me an accurate number. +-.

Might need a bigger cooler or additional, is all.. Mine never goes above 165 pulling my 5vr. 170 tops.
