I am looking for 05/06 headlights and they cost about $150.00 each in the catalogs, so Id have to say thats a fair price. Have you considered upgrading the look of your truck with the newer style headlights?
The headlights that you put a link to are a good upgrade. I put a similar pair in my first 99 F250 (had to do a little cut to the header panel) and they were brighter, but it was do to my stock lamps being so bad. The way to get a brighter light is to upgrade the harness. LMC Truck has the best price if you stick with stock head lamps. Dfuser.com and GOS (performance?) are also good sites for upgrading the headlights.
I did the 02 headlights and it was a huge improvement. I can finally see at night again. Looking for me I added a relay harness so they get clean power from the battery and not through the switch. I saw an improvement equal to Jack Squat.
I don't know if hte 05 lights are even brighter or not, I don't the look of those so I stuck with the 02s.
I installed the 07 OEM headlights into my truck. Has to use a dremmel tool to cut the header panel but it was only about a 3 hour job. Installed some 6000K HIDs while I was at it. Love em!
People are always so worried about getting pulled over with HIDs but I suggest sticking with colors between 4000-6000K on the light spectrum and you'll be fine.

My Headlights were fogged out and they SUCKED in the wild. I hunted and picked up a set even though I was scetchey about em. I wanted OEM, but when I looked at theese the heads were OEM and the clear corners were NOT. I got them anyway local for 100$ and I must say that the ON ROAD clarity was NICE. Look for OEM on the headlamps, I dont think the corners matter except the fact that the "aftermarket ones may be full clear." and if they cost dough$$$, they beter be OEM.!

Yes if you want to really be able to see out in the wild, upgrading the harness is a MUST. Then you can run 80W low beams and 100W high beams. Wow, what a difference! We had an ice storm, all power out, and I could not see jack, so I needed a solution. I bought a harness from Susquehanna Motor Sports, but I am sure you could build the same harness with local parts.
I have not had one single car flash their lights at me, so I think if you have them aimed correctly, it is not a problem.
