Powerstroke help
I know that the "top end oil" as he calls it is constantly circulating with the rest of the oil.
And I know that you shouldn't install a compressor wheel like he does, but can someone explain why it is you shouldn't install a compressor wheel with an impact wrench.
I'm just struggling with some people on another forum who seem to think that guy is a genius.
As far as the impact thing goes, would you hit your compressor wheel and or bearing with a hammer? That is what an impact wrench is doing. That's exactly how they work, by using multiple impacts as opposed to sustained pressure to overcome friction. The bearings in your turbo, or any bearings for that matter, really don't like impact. All you have to do is tighten the wheel with a inch pound torque wrench, or a regular socket wrench. It will tighten itself just by rotating against the resistance it encounters from the atmosphere. I just did mine last Friday with a 3/8 inch ratchet.
