When you say crossed, do you mean mixed up or do you mean the cables overlap each other? Now that I think of it, there is a cable or 2 that overlap eachother but they aren't touching. Does that make a difference?

7 & 8 fire one after the other and should be separated even if you are using good wires.
Inductive coupling, whatever...IDK.

But I still don't think it is electrical.
