Locking Gas Caps

I recently bought a locking gas cap for my 2006 F250 diesel from Pep Boys. It appears there is not a Ford one. Is this really true?
I was wondering if anyone has a work around for the tie down cable that keeps the cap from falling when it is unscrewed?

I doubt ford ever had a locking cap. I have a Stant locking cap, I once reused the OE retaining ring. The stock caps can come apart and the strap has a loop that goes around the cap. My stant cap has a groove that accepts it, but the red trim ring that should hold the ring to the cap kept coming loose.

I suspect a couple of drops of glue will keep the new cap together. However, I just deleted mine. If I were to need it again, I would drill a small hole in the cap, and use nylon covered SS fishing line to retain it.

Do you have access to a part number or maybe who the OEM was on them?
