My 2001 E.B. Expy didnt come with Skid plates. Should I just go to the dealer, order them and have them put them on or is there better out there? Any help appreciated.
I was looking for some last spring. The best suggestion I can give you is to order them from the dealer, there are 3 of them.. front axle, transfer case and gas tank. ensure that you get all the bolt types for the front two, the gas tank ones are reused as the gas tank straps are removed and the same bolts used for the skid plate.
I bought the plates and bolts and had them installed by my own mechanic for a nominal charge.
Warning.. if and I mean if the dealer says they will install them for you, ensure you get them to give you a price.. I only say this because I checked around with about 4 dealers and none of them knew the labour rate (or work effort) that it would take them to do the job. The biggest issue was the gas tank plate.. If you want the bolt types and how many you need, let me know and I'll see if i can find the receipt with the numbers on it..
