Could someone id this rearend for me I think it is a ford 9 in.

Im wanting to find the gear ratio and maybe give it some more top end to get better fuel milage starting out should be no problem as i have a t18 tranny and as of now i could pull a house off the foundation with the 400 thats in the truck . thanks for any help.

It's a 9". There should be a number in front of the .00 My guess is a 3, which would make it a 3.00:1 gear ratio. Good for milage and top speed. Not good for low end "grunt" For more top end, go with a 2.75:1
