What flywheel specs do I require for my 351C. I want to put either a T-5 or ZF 5 speed depending on what this engine is put in. What other engines share flywheels with the 351C?
A pre 82' 289, 302, or 351W flywheel will work. 82' and up 5.0 flywheels are balanced different...not sure about the 351W. It needs to have 157 teeth if you're going to use it with a T-5.
This a question that I'm looking to get an answer to all so.
Pre 1981 351w used the same flywheel 28.2 oz weighted
The cleveland uses 28.2 also I would like clear this all up
if I can.
You must use the correct Harmonic balancer to go with the flywheel
I hope this helps!
remember the t5 came in different flavors also
some had different length input shafts
Don't forget about the bellhousing this also a factor
I'm planning a c4 to t5 swap in my 40 ford coupe right now.
I have a 351c in it now with c4 and a 9' rear.

I guess that leaves out the 65 289 hpo its 164 tooth,and also the boss 302 it is also 164 ,66 -69 (289,302,351w ) truck motors also had 164tooth
Is that corect ?
also this needs to go to the engine 351/400m forum.
