I'd suggest one of the "fix-it" kits from the auto parts store. Permatex makes a fuel tank repair kit. There's a few other brands too. JB Weld works as well.

I've thought about adding a tank and making it a dual tank anyway, how hard would this be to do while I'm in the process of fixing one, might as well add the other, I figure I could go ahead and buy a new tank for my secondary and run it for a bit, till I can get a replacement for the one thats in it, then I'd have a dual set up.

Almost 20 years ago now, I patched a bunch of pin holes on the top of a tank of a Pinto wagon of all things. I used some sort of gas tank repair putty, I slep since then, so I can't remeber the brand. It did work pretty good. I was stationed at Pearl Harbor and that car was one of those cars that got sold every time an owner left the island. I would not doubt it if it was still there!
